CHICAGO (WLS) -- The orphaned otter pup rescued by the Monteray Bay Aquarium's Sea Otter Program on Sept. 30 and brought to the Shedd Aquarium for care on Oct. 28 works with its handlers to learn how to be an otter.
Since the otter pup was abandoned by her mother, she needs the help of Shedd specialists to learn all how to groom, swim and play. Soft purple material mimics kelp from the otter's natural habitat, and aquarium handlers teach it to dry and fluff its fur after swimming.
The Shedd Aquarium posted another video to their YouTube channel Friday afternoon, showing the pup's growth progress and swimming improvements.
