Online voting registration begins in Illinois

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Starting Tuesday, Illinois citizens can register to vote online for the November election.

The law passed the General Assembly last year, but it gave the state board of elections until July 1 to implement the program.

To register online, you'll need your illinois driver's license or state-issued ID, the last four digits of your Social Security number and your current address.
