Reporter speaks out after Trump denies posing as spokesman
Sue Carswell, a former reporter for People Magazine, conducted an interview with a person who identified himself as Donald Trump's spokesman, John Miller, in 1991.

WASHINGTON (WLS) -- A two-decade-old tape is the hot topic in the race for the White House. Donald Trump is accused of posing as his own spokesman during a phone interview in the 90s.

The presumptive GOP nominee says it's not him. But on Saturday, the woman who taped the conversation is saying otherwise.

Sue Carswell, a former reporter for People Magazine, says she conducted an interview with a person who identified himself as Donald Trump's spokesman, John Miller, in 1991.

Carswell said Saturday there's no question in her mind who was on the other end of the call.

"I knew right away. I knew as soon as I got off the phone it was Donald," Carswell said.

John Miller: "He's somebody that has a lot of options, and, frankly, you know he gets called by everybody. And he gets called by everybody in the book, in terms of women."

Miller bragged about Trump's many girlfriends, saying even Madonna wanted to date him.

John Miller: "Well she called and wanted to go out with him, that I can tell you."

"Oh, no doubt. He apologized two weeks later! And said I'm sorry in print," Carswell. Said.

Carswell says Trump called and admitted it was him all along.

"He said that he was sorry that he made the call, that was a joke that went awry," Carswell said.

But now Trump adamantly denies it was him.

"It shows he's a liar," Carswell said. "Yes. It shows he's a liar right now. And that distresses me."

It comes as Hillary Clinton is out with a new video hammering Trump for refusing to release his tax returns.

Until an audit is complete, Trump said he won't reveal how much he pays in taxes.

"It's none of your business. You'll see it when I release," Trump said.

There is some good news for the wealthy businessman. His campaign is about to get a big financial boost from casino magnate Sheldon Adelson.
