WATCH: Gov. Rauner goes down huge slide at State Fair

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WLS) -- Governor Bruce Rauner has been locked in a stalemate with Democrats and came up short in another race, but he doesn't seem to mind.

The governor scooted down the slide on a burlap bag down the Sky-High Slide at the Illinois State Fair in Springfield.

He got off to strong start before being passed by a solo rider and a guy with a toddler in his lap.

Rauner posted the video to his Facebook page.

The Illinois State Fair ends Sunday.
