
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Police are investigating after a body was found in the Chicago River on Monday.
The body was recovered from the water in the 2200-block of S. Halsted Street at about 8:32 a.m., police said.

Chicago police later said the body was of a woman.
No other information was released regarding the discovery.
CPD said they were conducting a "death investigation."
It was not clear if foul play was suspected.
