HOUSTON -- A mother of two young boys has been missing for eight days, and family members are asking for help to find her.
Gayla Roy was last seen dressed in her U.S. Postal Service hoodie, leaving the main post office complex on Houston's north side. She never made it home.
"She was last seen by her coworkers at 6:30 a.m on Monday (September 11)," said niece Senecia Reamo. "She actually talked her dad, she was in the car, getting off of work."
Reamo, who babysits Roy's 5-year-old and 10-month-old boys, expected her aunt to return to the Sunflower Terrace Apartments following her overnight shift at the Postal Service. When she didn't, family members began making calls.
Roy was last seen driving her 2011 Lincoln MKZ with Texas plate numbers: JSZ 1087.
"We don't know if (she's) living or they dead, we don't know nothing right now, and it's waiting, and it's killing everybody right now," said Steven Reamo, a cousin.
Houston police are investigating, and family members are spreading her pictures far and wide, hoping to return this young mother.
"It's been tough of course, but her kids are strong, I look at this and that just gives me hope, that she is going to return," said Senecia Reamo.
