CHICAGO (WLS) -- Construction on a brand new $15 million community center for the Pullman neighborhood is now officially underway.
An array of dignitaries, including Governor Pat Quinn, Alderman Anthony Beale and the Chicago Bears' Pat McCaskey were on hand for the celebration and groundbreaking ceremony.
The future Pullman Community Center will be 138,000 square feet.
It will be the only facility to accommodate year-round sports as well as adult fitness, community activities and meetings
