More than 2,000 people took part in the 5K run and 3K walk to raise money for the Leukemia Research Foundation. The event is held in honor of Jim Gibbons, a 25-year investigative reporter at ABC7 who passed away from leukemia in 1994.
Adam Palumbo finished in first place among men, and Gabrielle Hesslau won on the women's side.
ABC7's Janet Davies spoke with Diana Orjuela, president of the local chapter of the Leukemia Research Foundation, prior to the race.
