Kids camp out at Cole Park in honor of fallen cop

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Dozens of kids are camping out at Cole Park on the South Side in honor of fallen Chicago Police Officer Thomas Wortham.

Wortham was head of the park's advisory board before he was shot to death during an attempted robbery just across the street.

This is the fifth year for "Peace in the Park after Dark," and the event serves as a chance to promote positive interaction between kids and Chicago police.
