Miss Illinois 2014 advocates for fine arts education in schools
Marisa Buchheit is the newly crowned Miss Illinois 2014, and advocates for the fine arts as a core component of education in our schools.

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Marisa Buchheit is the newly crowned Miss Illinois 2014, and will be competing for the title of Miss America 2015 LIVE on ABC on Sunday, September 14th, 2014. Marisa's personal platform is called "From STEM to STEAM: Keeping the Arts in Education". She advocates for the fine arts as a core component of education in our schools.

Miss America 2015, will be the 88th Miss America pageant and is scheduled to be held at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City, New Jersey on Sunday, September 14, 2014. Nina Davuluri of New York will crown her successor at the end of the event. It will be broadcast on ABC.
