CHICAGO -- Santa and Mrs. Claus received a police escort as they delivered gifts to the children of Chicago officers killed or seriously injured on the job.
They started their day at Macy's on State Street before heading to the home of Officer Michael Gordon. They will visit a total of 15 families over the weekend as part of the Chicago Police Foundation's "Operation Santa."
The foundation and police superintendent Garry McCarthy say it is important the families know they are not forgotten.
