Irazu
Chicago boasts all types of international cuisine...so, its surprising that only one Costa Rican restaurant serves up specialties from that Central American country. Irazu in Bucktown is the ultimate 'American Dream'. Geraldo & Miriam Cerdas came to the states in order to have a better life. Miriam worked in a cafeteria, but loved to cook and wanted to be her own boss. They scraped together enough to buy a tiny space... and Irazu was born, 26 years ago. It's now in the capable hands of one of their sons, Henry, who's expanded and modernized the Bucktown favorite.

Erick "Roho" Garcia
Graffiti is a medium that launches many artists... artists like Erick Garcia. But this South Suburban man.. who goes simply by 'Roho'... is now making a name for himself creating large-scale murals that grace prominent walls all over the city. Just as important as creating his masterpieces.. is 'giving back'... he has taught for After School Matters for nearly 10 years... and launched his own 'collective' to teach young artists 'the ropes' of selling and marketing their work.

Hispanic Executive Magazine
At 55-million, the U-S' Hispanic population easily ranks as the largest minority group in the country... but even with those staggering numbers, the business world seems slow to move Latinos into the boardrooms..only 4% of American executives are Hispanic. It's a trend a magazine right here in Chicago is trying to change... by telling the -many- Hispanic executive.. 'success stories'!!

National Museum of Puerto Rican Arts and Culture
Nearly two decades ago, the historic Humboldt Park 'stables' were on the verge of being converted into office space, that is, until a group of community members stepped in with a plan. Now, this century-old horse stable is the nation's only free-standing museum devoted to preserving the rich history of Puerto Rican culture.
