WCL honors ABC7 anchor Linda Yu, Part 1

CHICAGO -- Windy City Live honored ABC7 anchor Linda Yu, who retires on Wednesday, with a look back at her career. Retired ABC7 reporter Paul Meincke joined us with a video retrospective.

It was an hour-long tribute to a Chicago news icon, who has graced our screens on ABC 7 News for 34 years. Linda is a Chicago treasure who has touched so many people across our viewing area with her grace and professionalism. We talked to her past co-anchors, as well as her 4 p.m. news team who discussed passing the torch to Judy Hsu.

We also talked to the people who mean the most to her - her family!
