Chicago White Sox outfielder Avisail Garciaand his wife Anakarina are expecting their second child, but the four-year veteran hadn't learned whether a boy or girl would be joining the family until moments before he took the field on Opening Day.

Prior to Tuesday's game against the Detroit Tigers at Guaranteed Rate Field, Garcia'syoung daughter Anarella appeared on the stadium's scoreboard to deliver a message to her father that the family's newest addition will be a baby boy.

The video included a photo of Anarella alongside Anakarina, holding a celebratory balloon.

Upon receiving the big news, Garcia raised his arms to the sky, and teammates congratulated the 25-year-old in the dugout. He then was able to sneak in a quick video chat with Anakarina before the game started.

Although the White Sox lost, Garcia managed two hits -- perhaps signifying what will become the new number of children in his family.
