So, how big is Elena Delle Donne in Delaware? Pretty big.

The Chicago Sky star, who last year -- her third in the league -- was named the WNBA's MVP, will forever be cherished in her home state.

Need proof? How about being mentioned in the same breath (OK, it was a really looooooooong breath) as Vice President Joe Biden on the national stage? Delle Donne, who will go for Olympic gold in Rio as part of Team USA, got a shout-out during roll call voting at the Democratic National Committee's convention in Philadelphia on Wednesday.

In case you aren't paying attention to the political conventions or aren't aware of the process, roll call voting is when each state gets to cast its delegates' votes for the presidential nominees, Bernie Sanders and Hillary Clinton (yes, Bernie was still a nominee and gots his votes counted).

Before announcing their votes, the spokespersons for each delegation brag up their state with factual bits of information. Minnesota Sen. Amy Klobuchar, for instance, mentioned that her great state is the home to Prince's Purple Rain. Sen. Claire McCaskill proudly announced that Missouri is home to former President Harry Truman and also is "where World Series champions hang out."

In Delaware's case, Rep. John Carney delivered the results. Carney, who is running for governor of Delaware, had this to say:

And though no one needs the reminder, Delle Donne reminded everyone of her roots in a tweet last week.
