PARK RIDGE, Ill. (WLS) -- The Chicago Blackhawks gave a group of seniors in the northwest suburbs a thrilling surprise.

Coach Joel Quenneville said Jennifer, who manages the Park Ridge Park District's Centennial Activity Center, wanted to take a group of very active seniors to a Hawks game.

But Coach Q had a better idea. He brought the game to them!

Quenneville brought jerseys for each of the seniors and - with some help - transformed their rec room so they could play. Blackhawks assistant coaches Kevin Dineen and Mike Kitchen each coached a team. Coach Q was the referee.

Announcer Pat Foley, national anthem singer Jim Cornelison, Tommy Hawk and the ice crew were all there - just like at a home game at the United Center.

It was all part of the Blackhawks "What's Your Goal?" campaign.

"You're never too old to take up hockey," Quenneville said. The Park Ridge seniors proved him right.
