CHICAGO -- Dikembe Dixson finished with 22 points, Marcus Ottey scored 19 and the pair combined to make 16 of 17 free throws to lead Illinois-Chicago to a 100-75 victory over Youngstown State on Thursday night for its seventh straight win.
Tai Odiase chipped in with 16 points, six rebounds and six blocked shots for the Flames (15-11, 10-3 Horizon League), who shot 52 percent from the floor, 42 percent from 3-point range and hit the century mark for the first time this season. Dominique Matthews added 14 points and Tarkus Ferguson handed out 10 assists.
Cameron Morse hit six 3-pointers and matched his season high with 26 points for the Penguins (6-20, 4-9). Braun Hartfield added 12 points and tied his career high with 11 rebounds for his second double-double this season. Youngstown State shot just 37 percent from the floor, 28 percent from distance and 60 percent at the foul line. The Penguins outrebounded the Flames 45-38, including a 23-10 advantage on the offensive glass, but it led to just a 14-8 advantage in second-chance points.
