Dixson scores 18, leads UIC over Green Bay 83-75

ASHWAUBENON, Wis. -- Dikembe Dixson scored 18 points, Jordan Blount had 14 points and 15 rebounds and Illinois-Chicago beat Green Bay 83-75 on Friday night.

UIC (16-12, 11-4 Horizon League) rebounded from a nine-point loss to Cleveland State that broke a seven-game win streak. The Flames moved within a game of league leaders Wright State and Northern Kentucky, and conclude the regular season against the two next week.

Tai Odiase added 14 points, nine rebounds and four blocks for UIC. Tarkus Ferguson had eight points with 12 boards for the Flames, who finished with 60 rebounds.

Sandy Cohen III had 25 points to lead four in double-figure scoring for Green Bay (10-19, 5-11), which has lost four straight.

UIC used a 15-0 run to take a 73-62 lead with five minutes left. Dixson scored five points during the stretch. The Phoenix cut the deficit to six points in the final minute but didn't get closer.
