GREEN BAY, Wis. -- The Green Bay Packers will be without one of their main offensive weapons Sunday, as running back Eddie Lacy will be inactive against the Detroit Lions.
Lacy has been dealing with a groin injury and was listed as questionable on the official injury designations Friday. He had been limited all three days in practice.
With Lacy out, James Starks will have an even bigger role in the Green Bay offense along with Alonzo Harris. Packers coach Mike McCarthy already had named Starks as the starting running back over Lacy.
Lacy had played in every game this season, with 83 rushes for 308 yards and two touchdowns. Starks has 78 carries for 334 yards this season and has had more than 100 all-purpose yards in two of the past three games for Green Bay, including 122 yards last week against Carolina.
