Louisvillejunior forward Montrezl Harrell and sophomore guard Terry Rozier are planning to enter the NBA draft.
"They're both leaving, yes -- 100 percent," coach Rick Pitino told reporters at a Monday news conference, one day after the Cardinals were stopped short of the Final Four by Michigan State. "And it's the right thing to do for both of them."
Harrell, a preseason All-American, averaged 15.7 points and 9.2 rebounds for Louisville.
Rozier averaged a team-high 17.1 points for the Cardinals. He especially was a critical component of the offense after point guard Chris Jones was kicked off the team late in the regular season.
Pitino said Monday he hopes the tournament experience will help his returning players mature for next season.
"It was a remarkable thing to watch the evolution in a very short span," Pitino said. "Because, I wanted it badly -- not only for Wayne [Blackshear] and Montrezl and Terry -- but I wanted the young guys, six of them, to see how much fun it could be. That if you work hard and get to this point."
