HOUSTON (AP) -- Omer Damari and Gil Vermouth scored in the second half to help Israel beat World Cup-bound Honduras 4-2 on Sunday night in an international friendly.

Eran Zahavi put Israel ahead in the 34th minute but Honduras -- who lost 2-0 to Turkey on Thursday night in Washington -- levelled early in the second half thanks to Roger Espinoza's goal.

Israel regained the lead in the 52nd minute via an own goal as Tal Ben Haim's shot went in off Honduras' Maynor Figueroa.

Damari added to the lead in the 60th minute, turning in the rebound after Vermouth's effort hit the near post. Vermouth then made it 4-1 in the 75th minute, scoring at the near post.

Carlo Costly scored a consolation in the 83rd minute for Honduras, heading in a cross from Espinoza.
