Chicago Cubs outfielder Kyle Schwarber went back to school on Wednesday night.

Schwarber, who played baseball at Indiana University, was the honorary captain for the No. 13Indiana Hoosiers basketball team as they faced the No. 3 North Carolina Tar Heelsin the ACC/Big Ten Challenge.

Taking the court to a loud ovation and, of course, "Go Cubs Go," Schwarber was presented a baseball and a basketball from coach Tom Crean.

While on campus, Schwarber spent some time visiting with the Hoosiers baseball team. Schwarber was drafted fourth overall by the Cubs in 2014, making him the highest draft pick in Indiana baseball history.

Schwarber tweeted his excitement after Indiana upset the Tar Heels in a 76-67 win. He thanked the basketball team for having him as honorary captain and offered some words of encouragement for the Hoosiers.

It looks like having a World Series champ in the house gave Indiana some serious mojo. It could be time for Schwarber to get some courtside seats at Assembly Hall -- after all, college basketball does take place during the MLB offseason.
