Jackie Robinson West watch party Thursday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- The City of Chicago will again host a party for fans to watch the Jackie Robinson West team during the next round of the Little League World Series.

The party will be held at Jackie Robinson Park starting at 6:30 p.m. Thursday. In the event of bad weather, the party will be moved to the auditorium of Mt. Vernon Elementary School, 10540 S. Morgan St.

The Chicago team will face the winners of Wednesday's game between Nevada and Philadelphia.

After falling to Las Vegas in its second game of the series, Jackie Robinson West avoided elimination with a win over Rhode Island Monday, followed by a 6-1 victory over Texas Tuesday.
