CHICAGO -- Joakim Noah has been fined $25,000 for pushing a fan while walking into the locker room during halftime of Game 2 of the Eastern Conference semifinals against the Cleveland Cavaliers, the NBA announced Friday.

The fan said something to Noah on his way in, and Noah made contact while walking with his teammates.

"I was just saying hello," Noah said after Thursday's practice.

Comcast SportsNet Chicago reported that Noah told a security guard after Game 2 that a fan spit on him while he was walking off the floor following the game. Noah did not want to discuss that on Thursday.

This isn't the first time Noah has been hit with a fine in the postseason. He was fined $50,000 for using an anti-gay slur during the 2011 Eastern Conference finals.
