When fellow Northwestern Wildcats teammate Austin Carr was named the Big Ten Conference's receiver of the year, it was hard for Carr's teammatesto contain their excitement.
Carr, a junior,won the Richter-Howard Receiver of the Year award after leading the Big Ten with 84 receptions for 1,196 yards and 12 touchdowns this season. The award is named for Wisconsin's Pat Richter and Michigan's Desmond Howard. Carr is the third player since 1990 to lead the league in all three categories and set a new single-season program best with his 12 scores.
