The half-brother of Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Roddy White was shot to death outside of a James Island, South Carolina, nightclub early Saturday morning.
Tyrone Moore Jr., 21, of Charleston, South Carolina, died of a gunshot wound, Charles County Deputy Coroner Kimberly Rhoton said.
Falcons owner Arthur Blank released a statement Saturday.
"We were all saddened to learn about the death of Roddy's brother Tyrone," the statement said. "Roddy is part of our Falcons family, and families stand together in difficult circumstances. Roddy and his family can count on our support through this very trying time. On behalf of the entire Falcons organization, we extend our deepest sympathies and prayers to Roddy, his mother Joenethia, and their entire family."
Charleston County Sheriff's Maj. Eric Watson said in a release that deputies were called to the Lake House Club on Mosquito Beach at 2:51 a.m. ET Saturday after a reported shooting. Witnesses said an altercation took place in front of the club and several gunshots were fired, one of which hit Moore.
He was rushed to Medical University Hospital in Charleston, where he was pronounced dead, Watson said.
The shooting is still under investigation. A full autopsy is currently being performed, Rhoton said.
Moore had lived with White in Atlanta for several years, the team confirmed.
