KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Royals have recalled Paulo Orlando from Triple-A Omaha and inserted him into the lineup in left field against the Chicago White Sox.
The 29-year-old Orlando has hit .237 with four doubles, five triples and four home runs in 46 games with the Royals this season. This is his third stint with the major league club this year.
The Royals optioned infielder Cheslor Cuthbert to Omaha. He hit .240 in eight games, and the Royals went 6-0 with Cuthbert starting at third base.
