Receiver Jermaine Kearsehas re-signed with theSeattle Seahawkson what a source told ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter is a three-year, $13.5 million deal.
As the Seahawks' passing offense took off last year, Kearse set career highs with 49 catches for 685 yards and five touchdowns. He has 112 catches for 1,599 yards and 10 touchdowns in his career.
The 26-year-old Kearse (6-foot-1, 209 pounds) has been a reliable and unselfish teammate since joining the team as an undrafted free agent in 2012.
He had just eight drops in the past three seasons combined and came up with some very big plays for the Seahawks in the postseason.
The Seahawks now will return their top three pass-catchers from a year ago in Kearse, Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett.
They are also expecting tight end Jimmy Graham to return from a ruptured patellar tendon injury.
Quarterback Russell Wilson led the NFL in passer rating (110.1) in 2015, throwing 34 touchdowns and eight interceptions.
The Seahawks' run game will look different without Marshawn Lynch, but with Kearse back, they will be able to maintain continuity with their passing attack.
