Cornerback Prince Amukamara has reached an agreement on a one-year deal with the Chicago Bears, sources tell ESPN.
Amukamara signed a one-year, $5.5 million contract in March 2016 with the Jacksonville Jaguars. He got only one year because the Jaguars wanted him to prove that he could stay healthy, which he had struggled with in five seasons with the Giants.
He played in 14 games with the Jaguars, the second-highest total of his career and the most since he played in 16 in 2013. He had missed 25 games with various injuries from 2011 to '15, including 13 over the 2014 and 2015 seasons.
Amukamara, 27, missed the first two games in 2016 with a hamstring injury but finished with 49 tackles and five pass breakups as the Jaguars' No. 2 cornerback opposite Jalen Ramsey.
Amukamara has seven interceptions, 48 pass breakups and three forced fumbles in 69 career games.
