Special Olympics Illinois hosts floor hockey tournament

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Special Olympics Illinois is welcoming hundreds of athletes, coaches, volunteers and spectators to the 2014 State Floor Hockey Tournament, during which 27 teams are chasing a puck across the floor. The event is happening at Northeastern Illinois University on Chicago's northwest side, and everyone is welcome to come cheer on the players.

Dave Breen, Special Olympics Illinois president and CEO, joined us live from the tournament during our ABC 7 Eyewitness News Saturday Morning to tell us how the tournament supports the not-for-profit organization.
