The Chicago White Sox selected Louisville right-hander Zack Burdi with the No. 26 pick in Thursday night's MLB first-year player draft.
Scouting report: Burdi was throwing hard for Team USA last summer, but this spring, his mid- to upper-80s slider is more consistently above average, and scouts like his chances of one day being a high-leverage reliever.
