Chicago Cubs fans will watch Wednesday's NL wild-card game (8 p.m. ET, ESPN/WatchESPN) intently, as the winner determines who their team will face in the NLDS.

So who would you prefer: the San Francisco Giants or New York Mets?

The Cubs were 4-3 against the Giants this season and 2-5 against the Mets. San Francisco has won three World Series since 2010, while New York bounced Chicago out of the postseason with a sweep in the NLCS last year.

As for flaws, the Giants' bullpen nearly cost them a playoff spot down the stretch, while the Mets' rotation is without key starters in Jacob deGrom, Matt Harvey and Steven Matz.

Fortunately for the Cubs, both Madison Bumgarner and Noah Syndergaard are pitching Wednesday and won't be available for the NLDS opener on Friday in Chicago.
