1 dead in semi crash on I-55 at Route 6

CHICAGO (WLS) -- One person died in a crash involving three semi tractor trailers on southbound I-55 near Route 6, Illinois State Police say.

Rescue crews responded to the scene that was just a few miles south of another multi-vehicle crash that killed four people on I-55 north.

One of the truck drivers didn't report any serious injuries at the scene, but died as a result of an unrelated medical condition a short time later.
