CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 41-year-old male driver was killed after his vehicle struck a pole near Pulaski Road and 41st Street.
Police said the victim was reportedly speeding in Chicago's Archer Heights neighborhood around 4 a.m. Monday when his vehicle clipped another car and ran into a pole.
Authorities said the driver was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where he later died. The driver in the other vehicle was not injured.
Crash investigators remain at the scene, and local traffic was backing up as drivers avoided the site during the morning rush.
