Semi gets stuck under CTA Green Line tracks

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A semi struck a CTA beam early Wednesday morning near Ashland Avenue and Lake Street on Chicago's Near West Side.

First responders got the driver out of the cab. his injuries were not serious.

The semi was wedged under the elevated Green Line tracks for a few hours, forcing traffic to reroute during the morning commute.

Green Line trains were not affected by the crash. No structural damage was done to the tracks.

Lake Street re-opened before 7 a.m.
