CHICAGO (WLS) -- CTA Blue Line service between Western-O'Hare and Logan Square stations will be temporarily suspended beginning 10 p.m. Friday, August 8, and lasting until 4 a.m. Monday, August 11 for scheduled track work. The track work is part of the Your New Blue project.
Service suspension will affect customers using the Western, California and Logan Square stations on the O'Hare service branch. CTA will provide free bus shuttles serving each affected station, operating 24 hours a day, during the service suspension. Free transfers back to rail stations will also be provided. For customers with disabilities, shuttles will provide service to the closest accessible station.
The weekend work will also require some street closures and parking restrictions around the tracks, most of which begin at 9 p.m. Friday, August 8. Streets closed over the weekend are:
- 2455-2500 N. Linden Pl
- 2820-2851 W. Belden;
- 2410-2411 N. Sacramento
- 2800-2815 W. Lyndale
The first street closure, 2700-2715 W. Prindiville, begins at 7 a.m. Friday and lasts until 4 a.m. Monday.
Due to the closure of Armitage Avenue between Campbell and Milwaukee, the #73 Armitage bus route will also be detoured beginning Friday night and lasting until Monday morning.
