AURORA, Ill. (WLS) -- The FAA Air Traffic Control Center in west suburban Aurora is set to re-open as planned Monday, more than two weeks after it was shut down by an act of sabotage.
The FAA says technicians have completed testing on almost all critical systems and equipment at the facility.
They are preparing for a gradual transition to full operations from Sunday night to Monday morning.
A full shift of air traffic controllers will return.
Other FAA sites that have been handling air traffic will transfer control back to the Aurora center after midnight.
