Frigid temperatures cause water main break in Winnetka

WINNETKA, Ill. (WLS) -- The freezing temperatures caused several water main breaks overnight, including one in Winnetka.

The break occurred around 11 p.m. Tuesday, flooding Willow Road at Glendale, officials said.

Willow Road was closed for a few blocks as water as crews worked to stop the flooding, which rose several inches.

Water main breaks were also reported in Joliet and LaGrange Park.
