Chicago forecast: Strong storms bring chance for damaging winds, hail, tornadoes Monday

CHICAGO (WLS) -- ABC7 meteorologists are tracking a chance for severe weather on Monday.



Sunday will be sunny with highs in the mid-60s inland and 50s by the lake.

Several rounds of storms are possible Monday afternoon into the evening hours.



These storms will be capable of producing damaging wind and hail, flooding and tornadoes.



Most of the Chicago area is under a Level 3 out of 5 threat for severe weather.



ABC7' Jaisol Martinez said flooding is possible, especially keeping an eye on river levels.

The National Weather Service has the Fox River under a Flood Warning after seeing multiple rounds of rainfall.

The rest of the week appears dry so far with lows in the 40s and highs in the 50s and 60s.
