Thursday, March 20, 2025 9:47AM CT
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Snow began moving into the Chicago area overnight and into Thursday morning after a day of damaging storms.

A Winter Weather Advisory was in effect until 7 a.m. for Cook, DeKalb, DuPage, Grundy, Kane, Kankakee, Kendall, Lake, La Salle, Livingston and Will counties.

The snow is creating hazardous travel conditions for the morning commute as well as strong wind gusts.

ABC7 Accuweather Meteorologist Tracy Butler says the snow is a heavy, slushy snow. The snow will diminish after 8 a.m. and clear out by noon, with sun in the afternoon, Butler says.
