Driver in deadly Chatham after-school program crash will not face charges, officials say

CHATHAM, Ill. (WLS) -- Charges will not be filed against a driver in a deadly school camp crash.

The crash happened in Chatham, Illinois back in April.



Five people were killed when a driver crashed into the YNOT After School Camp building.

Bradley Lund, 8; Ainsley Johnson, 8; Kathryn Corley, 7; Alma Buhnerkempe, 7; and counselor Rylee Britton, 18, died from injuries they suffered during the crash.



The state's attorney there announced that driver will not be charged.

Police believe the driver suffered a medical episode.
