Chicago weather: Severe storms move out after bringing strong winds, hail to south suburbs

CHICAGO (WLS) -- Severe Thunderstorm Warnings were issued Sunday as storms moved through the Chicago area, bringing strong winds and hail.

The storm system began moving in around 3 p.m. along or south of I-80, according to Meteorologist Greg Dutra.



The Chicago area was in a marginal risk for severe storms but it has since moved out.

People in the south suburbs reported seeing hail as the weather moved through.

All weather alerts in the Chicago area have since expired as of 6:30 p.m. Sunday night.
