1 injured after 2 semi-trucks crash on I-80/94 in NW Indiana

GARY, Ind. (WLS) -- One driver was seriously injured in a crash on I-80/94 between two semi trucks Tuesday morning.

The crash occurred at about 3:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes at Burr Street.

Police said one semi-truck crashed into the back of another semi-truck. One of the trucks was an Amazon truck, which lost a portion of its load.

One of the driver's was seriously injured but expected to survive the crash, police said.

At least three lanes were blocked to traffic.
