17-year-old boy charged after teen robbed at gunpoint, shot to death in Wicker Park: police

CHICAGO (WLS) -- A 17-year-old boy has been charged in connection with the November armed robbery and fatal shooting of another teenager on the city's Northwest Side.

Police said officers responded to a call about a person shot in the Wicker Park neighborhood's 1500-block of North Honore Street just after 1:45 a.m. on Nov. 15.

There, officers found a teen who had suffered multiple gunshot wounds to his body.

The victim, a 17-year-old boy, was transported to Stroger Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Police arrested one of the people involved on Saturday.

The suspect, also a 17-year-old boy, is charged with first-degree murder and armed robbery. His name was not immediately released.

Police did not immediately provide further information.
