
KANKAKEE COUNTY, Ill. (WLS) -- Two children were hospitalized in critical condition after a pickup truck crashed into a creek in Kankakee County Thursday night, the Kankakee County Sheriff's Office said.
The driver of a pickup truck has been arrested for DUI, the sheriff's office said.
Deputies responded at about 11:23 p.m. to the area of 3700 East Illinois Route 17 after getting an automated crash alert from an iPhone.
Deputies found a pickup truck partially submerged in nearly two feet of partially frozen creek water with a 58-year-old woman and two children inside, the sheriff's office said.
The two children were transported to a hospital, where they were listed in critical condition, the sheriff's office said.
The driver, Phyllis Moses, was also transported to a hospital and subsequently arrested for DUI, the sheriff's office said.
