
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Multiple people were taken to area hospitals after a crash on the city's South Side, police said.
The crash happened on Tuesday at about 10:55 p.m. in the 300-block of E. Garfield Boulevard, Chicago police said.
The driver of a purple sedan was heading northbound on Prairie when it crashed at the intersection with a black car that was heading westbound on Garfield, according to police.
Video from the scene shows the aftermath of the crash. The purple car was left lodged between a building and a tree.

The male driver of the purple sedan was taken to an area hospital. He is expected to be OK.
Two women were in the black car; they were also taken to an area hospital and are expected to be OK.
Chicago police said citations are pending.
