Man with autism who disappeared from NW Indiana found safe: police

HIGHLAND, Ind. (WLS) -- A man with autism who disappeared from northwest Indiana has been found safe, police and and family members said.

Brody Shelton, 21, was last seen riding a bicycle near his Highland home around noon Thursday, officials said.

Indiana State Police issued a Silver Alert, but police confirmed on Saturday evening that Shelton had been found.

"We have some very good news to share! Brody has been found and he is safe and in good health. He will be reunited with his family very shortly. We appreciate everyone's assistance and positive thoughts for Brody's safe return," Highland police said.
