Bulls announce new season promos, Derrick Rose jersey retirement

Basketball season is bouncing back in Chicago and the Bulls are rolling out new ways to keep fans engaged at the United Center.

The team announced tickets go on sale this week, with a schedule full of theme nights, special giveaways and a birthday bash for team mascot Benny the Bull.

One of the biggest highlights this season will be Derrick Rose Night, when the former MVP's jersey will be officially retired. Team officials say the celebration is already generating major buzz.

Bulls Vice President of Partnership Marketing Megan Donovan says the goal is to give fans "more reasons to cheer" both on and off the court.

Benny, meanwhile, is getting his own moment, with a birthday celebration planned that organizers say will include plenty of surprises for fans.
