CHICAGO (WLS) -- Tuesday is National Middle Child Day.
It's a day to celebrate those often overlooked middle kids and what better way to do that than with a new book from award-winning Chicago children's book author, Lori Orlinsky.
"Being Middle (is a great place to be)" brings humor and heart to the unique ups and downs of life in the middle.
Lori and her daughter Ellie, the inspiration behind the book, joined ABC7 to talk about the real-life story behind the book, the message they hope parents and children take away from the story and about a book signing and reading this week.
The book signing will be Friday at the Wicker Park Barnes & Noble, 1601 N. Milwaukee Avenue from 1-3 p.m.
