
CHICAGO (WLS) -- Some local churches and activists are hoping for a crime free weekend.
Several No Crime Weekend events are planned Friday through Sunday to keep young people engaged.
There will also be people station near L stops.
A group of youth influencers will participate in a Peace Walk that will begin on 127th and Michigan and conclude at the No Crime Day Picnic in Palmer Park, 111th Street and Indiana Avenue.
Community fun fests and /or picnics will be held in Englewood, South Shore, Burnside, Altgeld Garden, Pullman, North Lawndale and Playstreets will be at some locations. School supplies distributed and there will be free food.
